Let us see how to troubleshoot unable to make calls issue on your mobile.
Let us run a few checks to Understand the possible reasons and Troubleshoot the same.
Step 1- Check if you have an active plan
Go to My Jio App and select My Plan option. If you do not have an active plan, please recharge to make calls from this website: https://www.jio.com/Jio/portal/primeR...
Step 2- Check if your phone is VOLTE Compatible or not.
Please visit www.jio.com website and select your mobile model. If your mobile supports 4G but is not VOLTE compatible, then you will need to use Jio 4G Voice App to make calls.
If you have a 2G/3G mobile, you can connect to a JioFi device and use Jio 4g Voice App to make calls.

Step 3- Check if your mobile settings are correctly configured.
If you are unable to view symbols like VOLTE, LTE, 4G on your phone, you need to correct the settings. Make sure the following things are correct.
1. Your Jio SIM is in SIM 1 slot.
2. Network Mode is selected as LTE/WCDMA/GSM auto.
3. Mobile data should be Active on Jio network.
4. Voice calls are set to Jio SIM.
5. Flight mode is switched OFF.
Step 4: Check if you are able to make calls to Jio numbers.
If you are able to make calls to Jio numbers but not to other operator numbers, it could be due to congestion at the other end.
Step 5: Check if your device software is upgraded.

Now you should be able to make calls successfully. If still unable to make calls, try restarting your device.
